After a few weeks of trying to get around to doing this post, I can now take a look at one of the more infamous crooks to ever grace the pages of British comics.  here is the one and only Grimly Feendish.

Feendish started his life of comic crime as a occurring villain in the Eagle Eye – Junior Spy strip in Odhams’ Power Comic, Wham. (drawn by Leo Baxendale)

below is an episode of Eagle Eye from Wham from the issue dated 15/8/1964.  Click on the image below to see a larger image.

He became so popular, Feendish would get his own strip in sister comic Smash.

Artist: Stan MacMurty (Mac) Thanks for the info, Lew Stringer.

First Appearance: TBA

Final Appearance: TBA

Here is an episode of Feendish from No. 80 of Smash, issue dated 30/9/67.

When his run in Smash came to an end, that was not to be the end of the nefarious career of Feendish.  He would return once more in his ultimate failure of a life of crime.

He would return in the pages of Shiver and Shake, and here he is from the 27/10/1973 issue (an early strip by Tom Paterson.  Thanks for the info, Irmantas.)

He also joined the Shiver office as part of the Shiver Givers.  While this episode does feature Grimly, he wasn’t the star of this particular week’s strip.  This originally appeared in Shiver and Shake, issue dated 23/6/74 (toward the end of the comic’s run)

At the moment, I do not have any details on when Feendish ran in Shiver and Shake, but the details will appear soon on Irmantas’ Kazoop blog (where he is covering Shiver and Shake right now)  Can anyone supply the info on the artists throughout the strips’ run in all these comics?  Thank you (thanks everyone for the info on all the strips)
